All Natural Pet Flea Killer Also Kills Ticks, Lice, Mites and Bed Bugs

A natural pet flea killer is not a rare find. But when that same product also kills ticks, lice, mites and bed bugs — well, it’s kind of a big deal. And if the medicine is also safe enough to use on kittens and puppies, it’s a really big deal!

Dog Scratching

Of course, I’m describing our best selling TripleSure All Natural Flea and Tick Spray for Dogs and Cats. Its proprietary cedar oil and peppermint extract formula has proven deadly against the five most common parasites that infest dogs and cats.

Being close to pets, you and I may have learned that a parasite is an organism that lives on a host (rather than finding its food elsewhere), and there are many that infect dogs and cats. But did you know that most parasites are zoonotic, meaning they can transfer from animal to animal and from animal to human? That might seem like bad news, but the good news is that all parasites can be repelled and/or terminated — naturally, without toxic poisons and without harm to kittens, puppies, children or our planet.

Natural Pet Flea Killer for Ectoparasites

These live on the cat or dog’s body. They live and breed on the skin and hair. All ectoparasites have a common life cycle of egg, larva, pupa and finally adult, although they differ in some aspects.

Fleas

Fleas are the most common of parasites and are known for being able to jump great distances. The adult flea thrives by biting and drinking the blood of the host animal, while the larvae eat dead skin cells. Fleas can cause allergies such as FAD (flea allergic dermatitis) in some animals, which conventional vets usually treat with immunosuppressive steroid injections. This in turn reduces your pet’s defenses against the surplus of harmful, everyday microorganisms and their consequences. Our drug-free natural remedy for flea allergic dermatitis, on the other hand, is completely effective yet perfectly safe. It’s called SoothAway.)

Flea eggs can survive many years in a cold environment only hatching once a warm body comes into proximity. This affinity to warmth is why fleas are more common during the summer months, although once your central heating is switched on in the winter your pets may suffer a whole new flea infestation.

Lice

There are two main kinds of lice that live on dogs and cats, the biting louse and the sucking louse. The names reflect the way the parasite feeds. The biting louse will bite an animal in the same way as a flea, whereas a sucking louse attaches itself to the host rather like a leech. Severe infestations of lice can lead to irritations of the skin.

Ticks

These are picked up outdoors, often from long grass. Ticks attach themselves to the host by sucking and can cause infection if not removed. They can be difficult to remove as they bury their jaws deep into the animal’s skin. Ticks are more often found in the countryside and on working dogs that pick up these parasites from livestock.

In some areas ticks are associated with diseases such as Lyme’s disease. If you are bitten by a tick it is a good idea to inform your doctor as you may need a course of antibiotics. Ticks start off small with a black body, but can grow to the size of a baked bean and turn white. Once they are full they will drop off the pet and find another host to feed off. A tick will stay on a single host from larva until a fully fed adult if it is not removed. Many natural pet flea killers also target ticks with fair to very good kill rates.

Mites

Mites are so tiny they can only be seen through a microscope yet they can cause serious skin irritation. There are different types of mite that fall basically into two different categories — burrowing mites and surface mites. Burrowing mites such as the Sarcoptic mange mite (See SoothAway) lay their eggs in the pores of the skin. Surface mites usually live in places like the ears (See EarMist). Both types are diagnosed from skin scrapings, and are usually transmitted via livestock and wild animals. Foxes and sheep are notorious for carrying mites.

All of these parasites can be discouraged and treated using either a prescribed insecticide or a natural pet flea killer, but only TripleSure kills all five pet parasites and does it without chemicals or toxic poisons. Conventional vets may have a favorite product for fleas, but the active ingredient may be fipronil, a known neurotoxin that can cause liver toxicity, thyroid cancer, kidney damage, raised cholesterol, lack of coordination, labored breathing, miscarriages and stunted offspring in pets.

Endoparasites

Endoparasites live inside your dog or cat. They are more commonly known as worms, and there are several species that can infect your pet. I list the two most common pet worms here because of the close connection between worms and fleas.

Tapeworm

Tapeworms are transmitted in a variety of ways such as eating raw meat or feces. However, the most common way for your dog to catch tapeworms is through fleas. The tapeworm lays eggs inside the flea, then when the dog cleans itself, it eats the flea and digests everything except the tapeworm egg. The larva hatches and hooks itself into the small intestine where it lives on the nutrients your dog gets from its diet.

Tapeworms can grow to several feet long and, if not removed, the dog can develop dietary deficiencies such as anemia. They can be detected by the presence of shedding cells which resemble grains of rice and are eliminated with the dog’s feces.

Roundworm

Roundworm is more serious than a tapeworm infestation since it can cause serious illness in puppies and is also dangerous to pregnant women and children. If ingested, roundworm can cause abnormal fetal development and even lead to miscarriage.

It is transmitted through eating infected meat, grass and feces. Roundworms live in the intestines like tapeworms, but tapeworms travel solo whereas a dog could be infected with hundreds of roundworms. They usually cause vomiting, diarrhea and a distended abdomen.

As with ectoparasites, worms can be avoided and treated quite easily. Most conventional treatments include pesticides that are effective at killing worms, but considered too toxic by most responsible dog and cat lovers. The safe and effective natural pet worm remedy is our FourGuard Herbal Parasite Formula for Dogs and Cats, in liquid or capsules.

It is essential to keep all of these parasites at bay as they can compromise your cat or dog’s health and well being. They have the potential to weaken the animal’s immune system thus allowing viruses, bacteria and fungi to flourish.

Prevention is always better than cure. Ask a holistic veterinarian for the best natural pet flea killer they can name. They’ll tell you TripleSure!
